Cindy's Chocolate Fudge

 

Makes 16 pieces

 

 

Ingredients:

 

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
Carnation Evaporated Milk   
1 1/2 cups (9 oz.) Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
2/3 cup (5 oz. can) Nestle   
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
2 Tbsp. Butter
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups miniature marshmallows

 

 

Directions:  

 

Line 8 inch square backing pan with foil.  Combine sugar, milk, butter, and salt in medium sized heavy duty saucepan.  Bring to a full, roiling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.  Boil stirring constantly for 4 - 5 minutes.  Remove for heat.  Stir in marshmallows, morsels, nuts and vanilla extract.  Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted.  Pour into prepared backing pan and refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm.  Life from pan, remove foil and cut into pieces.  Store in airtight container.

 

 

Variations:

 


For Milk Chocolate Fudge: Substitute 1 3/4 cup (11.5 oz. package) Nestle Toll House Milk Chocolate Morsels for the Semi-Sweet Morsels.


For Butterscotch Fudge: Substitute 1 2/3 cup (11 oz. package) Nestle Toll House Butterscotch Flavored Morsels for the Semi-Sweet Morsels.


For Peanuty Chocolate Fudge: Substitute 1 2/3 cup (11 oz. package) Nestle Toll House Peanut Butter & Milk Chocolate Morsels for the Semi-Sweet Morsels and 1/2 cup chopped peanuts for the pecans or walnuts.
