The reunion for 2007 has happened and I'm so on the ball, I've already added pictures!

I'll update the links to the side soon to add 2007 as an option. And it won't take me two years. Promise!

So, what did you think of the reunion? Personally, I had a blast. Even the bit where I had to run down Brasstown Bald while getting soaked. Ah, memories!

The Date Is Set

Well, voting is complete and I'm happy to say that our family does no better than the rest of America when it comes to actually voting in elections. I guess we are all at home watching TV and paying no attention to the candidates.....

So the winning date is August 25. Yay! I'm sure August 18 is preparing a concession speech now.

Reta, Wayne, Dan and myself are planning to get to Vogel on Thursday, August 23 and will be staying until Monday, August 27. In case anyone else wants to make a weekend out of it, you'll have some company. For Saturday, we have picnic site #4 reserved.

If you want to reserve a cabin, here's the website. Pick Vogel state park and follow the directions. (We're in cabins 18 and 19 so you can reserve accordingly - like cabin 6 if you don't like us, 17 if you do!)

Hello all! More planning goodness for the upcoming reunion (I might even get the rest of the info from the last reunion up - Heather sent me some great pictures (thanks Heather) and I really need to share them with everyone!)

Anyway, on to the $64,000 question: What reunion date is good for you?

There are two dates that we are looking at, so let me know which you'd prefer.

So which is it: August 18 or August 25?

Updates and Reunion 2007

After some harrasment that was passed on to me through others, I've decided to start updating the webpage. A year and a half isn't too long to go without updates, is it? Of course, if people actually looked at this page and let me know they appreciated it... Or sent me cookies. Whatever works for you.

Reunion 2007
Is everyone ready for a reunion this summer? Woo hoo! Thoughts on dates? Places? The idea has been raised to have the reunion at Vogel State Park. The reunion would once again be officially a day event, but those that chose to could hang out at Vogel for a long weekend. Gail and Jimmy's house in Alabama is also always an option (and will be until we hear differently!)

POLL: Our next reunion

I have two questions that I'd like everyone to answer. To answer, you can just click the "comment" link underneath this post then type in your answer in the box labeled "Leave your comment", then press "Publish your comments". You can even leave your comment anonymously if you'd like.

Here are the questions:
1) For our next reunion, what time of year is best for you? Is a particular month or time of month better? (Since we are holding them every other year, the next one will be in 2007).

2) Where would you like to see the next reunion? Alabama, Macon, Oconee Baptist Church (near Atlanta, where Granny and Grandaddy are buried), Texas, an amusement park, the beach, a cruise, Mars? Okay, maybe not Mars. The current plan is Oconee Baptist Church - but that's only because no one commented so if you have an opinion (pro or con) voice it!

Of course, any other suggestions for the next reunion are always welcome!
