FEB 3 CLUB FLY-IN:

We plan a Sunday afternoon gathering to fly on Feb 3 from 1:00 to 3:00 at our Lakeside Air Park. Come and share your latest RC things and fly a little too. I'll have my newly completed battery powered Great Planes SPECTRA glider. If it is done, I'll also fly my SIG SOMETHING EXTRA. Hope for good weather.

RESULTS: I think we had a pretty good day. Was quite a bit of flying. Had a few spectators. The Graham Leader and Breckinridge newspapers both had representatives there. Check out next weeks newspapers to see what they have to say.

EVENT COMMITTEE SPECIAL MEETING:

The event committee will meet after the Feb 3 club fun-fly to discuss details for our AMA sanctioned JUNE 8 GRCF FUN-FLY. Meeting will start at 3:00 after the flying is done. All members of the EVENT committee are requested to attend. Other members who wish to participate in the meeting are welcome also. As this is Superbowl Sunday, I'm sure it will not be too long.

To make it easy to email all members of a particular committee I have added links for each committee. Also added a link to email all the 4 officers. These are listed in the lower left sub-window. Scroll down to the one you want and click. That should bring up an email window of your default browser and your ready to go. If anyone has a problem, contact me and I'll see if I can help get it fixed.

PROPOSED FIELD SIGN

The Field and PR committees are working on a sign for the flying field. A sign 3' x 6' is suggested. Could possibly be 4' x 8'. We have 2 versions that seem suitable. Our committee members have had a chance to comment and modify them. Vick Baily is still on to construct and paint the sign. Our objective is to have it up for our scheduled June 8 event.
