The July meeting of Graham R/C Flyers was held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 12, 2004, at Zack Burkett Co. Attending were Zack Burkett, III, Marney Ignacio, Dick Rovnyak, Doc Dockstader, Richard Herndon and Curtis Herndon..
The minutes for the June 14, 2004 Regular Meeting were approved .
Communications: None
Officer Reports: Secretary-Treasurer Burkett reported the club shows $1,132.08 cash in bank (no activity since last report). Gain year-to-date is $84.31.
Committee Reports: Field Committee Chairman Ignacio reported the field had been mowed recently and the he would borrow Burketts Dixie Chopper to do the rest of the large area. Picnic tables for the pavilion were discussed and it was agreed to purchase 2 tables at a cost of approximately $100 each. Burkett and Dockstader will coordinate the purchase.
Public Relations Committee: Rovnyak reported sending out flyers on the Graham R/C Roundup. The group discussed a club member event prior to the September 11 Roundup to invite the local press to attend and maybe get an article in the paper to help promote the Roundup.
Events Committee: Rovnyak, Event Coordinator for the Roundup, passed out a poop sheet with details of the duties for the event. A work day was set for Friday, September 10 at 5:30 p.m. to complete the field prep for the event. It was agreed to forego the canopy and set up the Registration/Tx Impound/Concession area under the pavilion.
New Business: Dates for the 2005 club events were discussed. Tentative dates were set as follows:
Spring Fun-Fly: May 7, 2005 Graham R/C Roundup: September 10, 2005
No meeting was scheduled for August.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
