The December meeting of Graham R/C Flyers was held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2003, at Zack Burkett Co. Attending were Zack Burkett, III, Marney Ignacio, Dick Rovnyak, Doc Dockstader, Bob Castor, Brad Brock and Jim Norred.
The minutes for the October 13, 2003 Regular Meeting were approved.
Communications: Burkett distributed copies of a flyer from Georgetown Aeromodelers Association regarding their upcoming swap meet January 16-17, 2004.
Officer Reports: Secretary-Treasurer Burkett reported a gain for 2003 of $372.17. Since inception, the club shows a $969.77 gain (cash in bank).
Committee Reports: Field Committee Chairman Ignacio will be scheduling a day and time to erect the hot wire around the field.
Events Committee: Castor passed out preliminary notes on the 2004 Graham R/C Roundup (September event) for review and comment. Dates confirmed: May 1, 2004 for the spring event, September 11, 2004 for the fall event, subject to final confirmation/sanction from AMA.
Public Relations Committee Chairman Rovnyak reported the gift of a subscription to Model Aviation to Graham High School.
New Business: By consensus, the group agreed to renewing the clubs Intro Pilot Program for 2004. Burkett will contact Bill Martin and Ernie Jackson as to their willingness to serve as Intro Pilots along with Burkett. Burkett passed around the clubs roster and the AMA club roster for corrections. Burkett reminded the members to get their club dues in by February 1, 2004 and to get their 2004 AMA memberships renewed as soon as possible.
Program: Castor brought a copy of his video taken at the September 20, 2003 Graham R/C Roundup.
Next meeting date: January 12, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. at Zack Burkett Co. office.
