The monthly meeting of Graham R/C Flyers was held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2003, at Zack Burkett Co. Attending were Zack Burkett, III, Marney Ignacio, Dick Rovnyak, Jim Norred, Doc Dockstader, Ernie Jackson, Bob Castor, Mary Castor, Richard Herndon and guest Curtis Herndon.
The minutes for the May 12, 2003 Regular Meeting were approved.
Communications: Burkett reported receipt of a newsletter from the Abilene RC club.
Officer Reports: Burkett reported on his and Bill Martins attendance at the Haskell Fun Fly on June 7. Martin reported his posting of the clubs June 21 event on the RC Universe website. Secretary-Treasurer Burkett reported a loss for 2003 of ($150.16). Since inception, the club shows a $447.44 gain (cash in bank).
Committee Reports: Public Relations Committee Chairman Rovnyak reported on his continuing efforts to promote an article in the Graham Leader about the clubs Introductory Pilot Program.
Unfinished Business
The June 21 event was discussed at length and final details worked out as to work assignments. A work day was set for Saturday, June 14 to prepare the field, to be followed by a sack lunch (bring your own) and an afternoon flying session, including practice events for the Poker and Climb & Glide contests. Club shirts will be awarded the two winners. There will also be Student/Trainer sessions that afternoon for any current and prospective students.
A work session was also scheduled for Friday afternoon, June 20 (after 5:00 p.m.) to deliver/set up tables, chairs, canopy and any other last-minute items. All members were encouraged to attend both the June 14 and June 20 work sessions.

The hot-wire fence erection was postponed until after the June 21 event (no cattle in pasture).
Reinstatement of Members: Burkett reported that Brad Brock was reinstated via a telephone conference call with a quorum of the Board of Directors.
New Business: Rovnyak proposed the establishment of a new officer position of Flight Training Director, to encompass both the Introductory Pilot Program and Flight Training for current club members. He agreed to draft a proposed job description for this position and report back at the July meeting.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
