A brief discussion was held regarding the EAA event, which GRCF opted not to attend due to lack of promotion by EAA and concerns of a low public attendance.
Burkett reported purchase of the materials for installing the hot-wire around the flying field. Since cattle will not be in the pasture until after the June 21 event, it was agreed to postpone erection of the fence until after June 21.
A club work day/flying session was scheduled for Saturday, June 14. The morning will be devoted to preparing the field for the June 21 event, followed by a hamburger lunch and afternoon flying. The Poker and Climb & Glide contests will be conducted for club members, with a club shirt awarded for first place in each event. All members are strongly encouraged to come out on June 14 and help prepare the field for the June 21 event and participate in the flying/contests that afternoon. Work to start at first light.
Burkett gave a brief report of the program presented to the Graham Kiwanis Club on March 27. GRCF members present at the program were Zack Burkett, Marney Ignacio, Bob and Mary Castor and Dick Rovnyak.
