A special meeting of Graham R/C Flyers was held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April13, 2003, at Lakeside Airpark. Attending were Zack Burkett, III, Doc Dockstader, Bill Martin, Dick Rovnyak, Bob Castor, Mary Castor, Fred Brown and Richard Herndon.
Committee Reports
Field Committee: In Ignacio's absence, Burkett reported the estimated cost to erect a hot-wire fence around Lakeside Airpark to be $300--$350. A motion was made and seconded to approve the purchase and installation of the hot-wire fence. Motion carried.
Events Committee: It was decided to firm up final details for the June 20 Fun-Fly at the regular club meeting on May 12, 2003 at Zack Burkett Co. office. It was the consensus of the group to conduct a club member event on Saturday, June 16, 2003, with a work day that morning and the flying event(s) that afternoon. Details will be worked out at the May 12 meeting.
The EAA event at Graham Municipal Airport is scheduled for May 10. Martin in charge of GRCFs participation. Booth will be set up in Burketts hangar as last year. Further details to be worked out by Martin.
Castor reminded the group of the Fall event set for September 20, 2003.
Public Relation Committee: Chairman Rovnyak reported he was working on a feature article for the Graham Leader. Burkett to furnish photos of the club trainer and support equipment.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:45 p.m.
