The monthly meeting of Graham R/C Flyers was held on Sunday, November 10, 2002 at Lakeside Airpark. Members in attendance were Zack Burkett, III, Ernie Jackson, Dick Rovnyak, Marnie Ignacio, Bob and Mary Castor, Lon French, Doc Dockstader.
The only item of business was the approval of membership for Jim Norred. Upon a motion by Burkett, seconded by Rovnyak, the membership was approved. Jackson advised that he would call a special officers meeting to make plans for a December club meeting, likely another similar meeting at the flying field. The business meeting adjourned for flying.
A number of interested newcomers attended the well-publicized afternoon of flying. Burkett and Jackson instructed members Norred and Dockstader with buddy box flying, and Burkett assisted two newcomers with buddy box flying, one on the club trainer and one with his own aircraft.
All in attendance agreed the afternoon flying session/meeting was a good approach to encouraging more flying and introducing prospective members to RC and the club.
The flying session concluded at 6:00 p.m.
